Why we're getting behind Will Clarke and London 2012.

We are delighted to announce that we are now supporting local triathlete Will Clarke as he attempts to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Following the appointment of BMW Group as the Official Automotive Partner of the 2012 Games, BMW is now actively supporting British athletes, such as Ellie Simmonds and Louis Smith, via the BMW London 2012 Performance Team. Meanwhile, in line with the Performance Team initiative, BMW dealers like us will be working with local athletes, supporting their endeavours to qualify for Team GB or ParalympicsGB.

Will Clarke trains locally, at the Cambridge Triathlon club as well as in the Gold Coast, Australia. Will has been training since the age of 15 and at just 26 is already 2008 and 2009 National Champion.

‘I'm really grateful to Elms Cambridge and BMW for their support,’ said Will ‘It's tough trying to qualify for an Olympic place and it's a big help knowing that they are behind me, helping to raise funds and awareness. It's also fantastic having a brand new BMW 5 Series GT from now until the end of the 2012 Games. There's a lot of travelling to heats, competitions and promotional events so it's great being able to arrive there in style.’
